Antenna repairs & tuning in Bunbury.

Nearly every antenna fault in Bunbury comes down to signal quality, and nearly every signal-quality fault comes down to the coast. • Water in the coax. Builder-grade RG59 with a cracked sheath wicks moisture down the run. We replace with quad-shield RG6 rated for the WA sun.
• Antenna knocked off aim. Wind shifts the antenna off the Mount Lennard bearing. We re-aim and re-secure with stainless fixings.
• Corroded or storm-damaged heads. Snapped elements or a head rusted through. Where it is beyond saving we quote a replacement first.

How we diagnose it properly.

We do not guess. We meter signal strength and quality at the antenna, at any amplifier, and at the wall plate, so we can see exactly where along the chain the signal is being lost. That is the difference between a real fix and a parts-swap that leaves you calling someone again in a month. Once the fault is repaired we retune every television in the house and confirm clean signal on each.

Worked example: a Withers weatherboard.

A recent Withers job: ABC and SBS pixelating for months, fine on a clear day, gone in the wind. Metering showed strong signal at the antenna but a sharp drop after the masthead amplifier, which had corroded internally. We replaced the amplifier and its weatherproof housing, resealed the down-lead connector, and retuned two TVs. Total: $210, done in one visit. No new antenna needed.
